Abstract Modernist Hardboard Painting – Geometric Composition with Textured White Panel (c.20th Century) wall platter Green and CoA striking midlate 20th century abstract painting on hardboard, built around a bold geometric composition. The artist contrasts a heavily textured off white central panel with flat planes of grey and black, intersected by a vivid blue horizontal line. The result is a clean, architectural sense of balance with visual depth created through the impasto work. Unsigned, but confidently executed and very much in the manner of British post war abstraction.
